Bio
Magdalena Gawronski-Mietus is an international-class competitor and instructor in both Latin and Standard ballroom styles, with more than 30 years of experience on the competition floor.
Competing in Poland with partners Tomasz Rachwalski and Piotr Kiszka, she achieved International Class — the highest competitive ranking — in both styles, and earned multiple Champion and Vice-Champion titles in Poland's Podkarpackie Region.
Her dance journey began under the guidance of Mariola Felska, a distinguished ballroom choreographer certified as an International Judge and Trainer. She went on to refine her craft with some of Poland's finest: Polish Champions Monika and Roman Pawelec of Radom (Latin) and Aleksandra Niewinska and Krzysztof Kulig of Olsztyn (Standard), as well as World and European Champions.
After moving to the United States, Magdalena taught at Rhythm Dance Studio in New Britain from 2011 to 2014, competing throughout Connecticut and New York, and joined Garage Dance Studio as a ballroom instructor in 2018. In 2019, she founded VOLTA Dance Studio, where she now trains the next generation of competitive dancers.
